When This Format Fits
Strategic audit suits when the company launched a digital transformation program with serious budget but after 12-18 months does not see expected results; when the board requests an independent assessment of current IT strategy before approving the next budget; when CIO or CDO changes and an objective picture is needed; when a major investment is planned (new platform, core replacement, new product direction) and an independent readiness assessment is needed.
Conduct diagnostics in three dimensions. Strategic — IT strategy alignment with business goals, architecture owner presence, digital block operating model. Architectural — target model, current landscape, gaps between them, architectural principles. Operational — actual program results, budget vs result, talent readiness, timing and risks. Based on this prepare a report with concrete recommendations and realistic roadmap defendable before the board.
The client team provides material access — strategic documents, architecture diagrams, budgets, program reports. Participates in interviews — IT, product block, business leaders. Receives the final report and works with it internally after audit completion. Further recommendation implementation — own team's work, with my advisory support if needed.
